Going postal....

So yesterday was our last day in Venice, and we decided we would try and send some of the stuff we had bought home. We knew the post office closed at 2pm and opened at 8:30am. We got all of our stuff together yesterday and traipsed over to the post office and were in line ready to go by 8:30 am. They opened up and luckily we found a very helpful guy who sold us some boxes to pack our stuff. But we still needed something to pack our stuff in and packing tape. I went out and bought 10 newspapers, then Jen left and got packing tape and a nice fat black pen.

The post office most definitely had no AC and and it was not a cold day, and we had to get back to our hotel to check out, so there we were in the middle of the post office, trying to get all our stuff packed up and sweating all over the place. Good times...

Finally finished, it should only take 4 weeks or so...that is if it does not fall off the vaporetto! (The Venetian transportation system = ie the boat that you take like a bus...)
